Psalm 134 - "Behold and Bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who by night stand in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. The Lord who made heaven and earth bless you from Zion!

Behold and Bless the Lord

This is my first attempt to join the countless numbers of individuals who post their thoughts on the world wide web for all to see. So here I am, placing my own stake in the ground. Why did I call this site, "Behold and Bless the Lord"? This is the call of the Night Watch at the International House of Prayer and it is taken from Psalm 134,
"Behold and bless the Lord all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. And may the God who made heaven and earth, bless you from Zion."
It is a call to set your mind on things above; to gaze at a beautiful, unknowable, incomprehensible God and bless His name in the night. Every night I am stunned that I have the opportunity to join in this loft calling. I get to stand, sing, minister and burn all night long. This is what I love doing.

I was made for this.

It was great seeing you and your sisters at One Thing. And the news about all the lighting stuff in the prayer room. I am so glad that I know you . . . you make my heart sing.
